A Mother’s Love

When mom was alive, I asked her to send me a sign that she was okay when she passed away. A rose would do, I told her. The year after she died, a corner of our yard  was taken over by a wild rose bush full of these beautiful little roses. We didn’t plant them, and have no neighbors with them. I have to believe they were sent as the sign I asked for.
